Presently I am doing graduate study in the Cellular and Molecular Biology Program at Duke University in North Carolina. I did my undergraduate work at Assumption College where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Biotechnology, minoring in Chemistry. I've always found it rewarding to explain concepts to others and to see them succeed when I have found the best way to teach them. I have worked both one-on-one with learners and have led large group reviews of complex subject matter. During three years of my time at Assumption College, I tutored other students. I found that I was able to distill difficult course material into understandable parts that could be more easily grasped. For science teachers especially, it's important to have the skill set needed to frame complicated ideas in a clear manner for learners who come from diverse backgrounds. When I share my enthusiasm and knowledge with others, I can imagine them making their own contributions to science one day in the future.I like to tutor many different subjects, including Organic Chemistry, Biology, Chemistry, AP Biology, Microbiology, General Chemistry, and Science. When I'm not tutoring, I really enjoy active pursuits and the outdoors. In my time off, I can usually be found either running, swimming, or going to a boxing match.
