As a college student majoring in Spanish at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Mexico. As they say, "the rest is history," and when in Mexico, I developed a deep passion for language, communication, and culture. I have since traveled around the world and made many friendships with people in other countries. During my travels, I actually learned to appreciate the English language even more, because it is spoken in so many other countries. That appreciation of English led to me pursuing a career in ESL education, and I have been teaching English as a Second Language students off-and-on for almost a decade. Throughout this decade, I have accumulated about 4 years of teaching experience, and I have worked with students ranging in age from young teenagers to older adults. About a year ago, I earned my Teaching English as a Foreign Language certificate, and I just recently earned my Graduate Certification in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. I believe I make a great teacher and tutor, because I love to teach ESL, and I love my students. When I tutor, my goal is to make my lessons efficient, yet also extremely fun!During my free time, I still love to travel and learn more about the world. I also enjoy reading, attending church, and spending quality time with my family and friends.
