I received my BS in Chemistry with a biological concentration from Kent State University. My PhD is in Cell Biology and was completed at Duke University.
Experience
I worked as a math and science tutor for 3 years at Kent State's Academic Success Center, where I helped students improve from failing grades and low test scores to passing grades and higher test scores. I have broad knowledge in the chemical and biological sciences, and I can also tutor algebra, trigonometry, and applied calculus. Recently, I have been working with English-as-a-second-language students, to help them improve their English conversation and writing skills so that they sound more "native-like".
