College: Graduated from Duke University (2011) with a B.A. in English (3.60) in four years, while also working full-time as an undergraduate student manager with the Men's Basketball program. High school: Graduated from Cary Academy (2007) with straight A's. Received the highest award given annually to one member of the senior class for excellence in and out of the classroom. Earned National Merit Scholarship semi-finalist honors for superior PSAT scores. Received the Thomas J. Watson Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence, demonstrated leadership, and exceptional test scores achieved during high school.

I have a proven history of academic achievement in both high school and college classrooms and have consistently excelled in the standardized and college preparatory test environment in all subjects. Although the focus of my collegiate studies was English, I feel very comfortable helping your child (whether he or she is in elementary, middle, or high school) in all of the subjects I have listed above. Also, I have found that many students today struggle in classes which are not strictly English-related (i.e. anything other than your standard literature or composition class) because of a poor foundation in reading comprehension, writing, and grammar. I know that I can help your child improve in ALL subjects by using a more holistic approach to his or her learning and honing his or her ability to communicate effectively and intelligently. Currently, my work hours are quite flexible, so I know that we can find a mutual time that best suits your and your child's schedule.
