I have always enjoyed learning, and have earned my bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University. I was able to take advantage of my dad's skill as a tutor, and once I went to college, I found out how lucky I had been to have him right there to work with me. I sought tutoring through my school, and that was the perfect solution to my academic woes. I learned new ways to study, and discovered that not everybody learns in the same way. I didn't always understand things the way my professor explained them, but then one of my tutors would present me with the perfect analogy or example that made it click for me. I valued these experiences, and eventually decided I wanted to help others in the same way. As my dad did for me, I wanted to provide other students with a resource they could trust to help them reach their academic goals. I've learned to take the time with each student to learn their strengths and the learning styles that work best with them, so I can create individualized study programs for each student. In my spare time, I enjoy reading a good science fiction novel.
