I am a passionate and award-winning educator with more than thirteen years of experience teaching social science and humanities courses at the high school and college level. Before moving to North Carolina to pursue my PhD at UNC Chapel Hill, where I tutored student athletes, I tutored students in English composition and rhetoric for four years at a liberal arts college and community college in Florida. In the years since, I have received special pedagogical instruction for writing and reading-intensive courses. Additional training in developmental psychology and K-12 curriculum development has further enhanced my ability to work confidently and patiently with students at the middle and high school levels.
